why is it so fucking difficult for people to communicate with each other?!?!?!

so the past month or so everyone has been having issues with their boyfriends or whatever, it seems. and it's all because of mis/non communications! it makes me so angry!!! whether it was matt being a douchebag and taking Stacie for granted, or Melodi and Paul not communicating with each other..who's ever fault that is! as well as Zack not contacting me for a week...but he was sick so he had a good reason, poor guy:(
Stacie finally broke up with matt because she definately deserves better. and who knows what's going to happen with Melodi and Paul... Zack finally called and he's feeling better so that's ok.
But damnit people! is it that hard to communicate?! I mean really!
Wow, I feel like this is most people's jr high and high school life

Anyway, so it's Spring Break!!! Finally!!!!
I'm here in sunny Orange County (yes, the O.C.) with my brother David, his wife Tanya, and their 3 girls: Dominique (almost 11), Meridian (almost 9), and Ravenna (3.5). Those girls are so cute, but such a handful at times! Today all of them were in the car with Meridian's hyperactive friend Holly. Tanya was driving and Meany (her dad) was in the passenger's seat we drove to a trail and walked and on the way back they were all screaching and singing "the song that gets on everyone's nerves" and Dominique was being indecisive about icecream since thats where we were going next. but yeah they're cute:)
Morgan called me today asking "where are you" I said "I'm in Orange County, California" and he said "oh, I was by your residence and going to Wendy's, you can come if you want" I told him I don't think I'd make it in time. Anyway I thought that was funny because he calls randomly like that. We're going to go swimming and hang out or something on Sunday...I think. He still won't tell me who his "girlfriend" is or why he won't tell me! ahhhh! he's silly.
Tomorrow we're going to Disneyland! I'm so excited!! I think we're doing Californa Adventure too!!! which means all the cool rides!!! I get to be a kid again for a day!!! YAY!!!!

Life, the Universe, and Everything [01 Feb 2007|11:08am]
[ mood | happy ]

I shall begin, by stating the answer: 42

So, I know it's been a long time since I've updated. I don't know who reads live journals anymore, but oh well.

Most of you were all there through the lovely winter wind storm of '06 which rendered 1million people without power. That was...fun...for like a day. During which French Morgan came and stayed at my mom's house for about a week. That was fun and my familly really liked him:) The first night he got to Seattle (a day early I might add) my mom had got a room in Bellevue but she couldn't get a second for him, so it was the three of us in that room. My mom and I in one bed and Morgan in a rollaway. He snores (because he ate too much) and he talks in his sleep! I had to throw a pillow at him, he woke up said "sorry" then went back to sleep. My mom was snoring too, needless to say I didn't sleep that well that night.
Dad, Darla, Chris, Morgan, and I all went to the Yatcht Club for Christmas dinner one night. I had had to take Morgan shopping previously to get him a pair of kakhi pants because the most formal pants he owned were a pair of black jeans. Anyway, that was a fun dinner, I think he really enjoyed it:)
I hope everyone liked him at the party. I know he didn't talk much, but he was tired and I think we overwhelmed him. It was funny when he decided my arm made a good teddy bear. I'm so glad a lot of people came to that party! I've missed having those parties so much, I miss the group from high school too. We'll definately have to have more parties this summer. Oh, and that party was a record, there was at one point an equal amount of guys to girls, and at another point, more guys than girls!!!!
Then, the day after Christmas, I left for France. The flights turned out to be a fiasco because there was rescheduling and Expedia didn't notify us, so I had to take a different flight that night (after spending the day with my sister Danielle)to Copenhagen, which arrived late, so I was 4 hours in Copenhagen, where I do not speak the language and they don't use Euros. By this time I've had to call the shuttle and my hostel 3 times to notify them of delays. So I arrived in Paris, finally, at 8:30 at night. The shuttle that took me to my hostel was interesting we had a mini tour of Paris because I was the last stop, and then the shuttle driver, who was pretty young, asked for my phone number after I had been chatting with him to practice my French.
I'm not going to detail out every day of my trip. It was fun, but we were all sick, so that made it less fun.
Anyway, I kind of hooked up with a guy that works at the hostel we were at in Paris... His name is Zack, he's 26 and from Algeria. He's studying for his PhD in chemistry and speaks English, Arabic, and French. So stuff happened between us during the time I was in Paris, and we exchanged phone numbers and email addresses. Anyway, we've been talking a lot lately...and I've realized I'm starting to have feelings for him and I guess he has feelings for me too:D so he's invited me to stay with him in Paris before I go to school, but I'll probably be with my mom, so I don't know if that's going to happen. Yeah, anyway, I've bored y'all enough. I'll update later

[21 Oct 2006|03:38pm]
[ mood | lethargic ]

It's so sad that I haven't posted in a long time and now I'm so bored that I'm posting. I have no idea even where to start. This has been such a busy semester it's not even funny. I'm vp of French club, I've got 2 French classes, a theatre class, a communications class, and a computer class. This is more work than I've had in a long time! Not to mention I've made so many more friends.
Went to a halloween party last night with French club. Katie and I went. Katie is a girl I met at French club, we're so similar she could be my sister. Katie was a saucy pirate wench, when Cathy had us collect money for the club Katie put it down her shirt and said she was tax collecting for the Queen:) I wore my huge Ren dress that I bought last year, I won second prize for best costume, Morgan won first. Everyone thought it was funny that the two Morgans won. Sylvain said we shouldn't get married because we'd confuse everyone. But Stacie, Shoshana, Melodi, and everyone else think we should be dating. I know he likes me, but I'm not sure what's going to happen. We've so far agreed to just be friends. He said he doesn't want to hurt me, especially since we'll be going to the same school next year (L'Universite Catholique de Lille) in the North of France. That's where he's on exchange from. The other thing is I have a crush on his friend Antoine too, but sadly he has a girlfriend. Alas...poor Yorik, I knew him well
Tomorrow's going to be interesting, I'm meeting with my new scene partner for drama so we can choose a duo scene. Our teacher is very particular about what he wants...that's ok I guess...I'm not sure I agree with all his methods of teaching, but he's young, he's bound to make mistakes. He's a 24 year old grad student...really hot!...and he went to Inglemoor!!! I was surprised when I found this out. Especially b/c there's another girl from Washington in the class too, she went to Mercer Island, but now her familly lives in Kenmore.
Melodi and I are having a pasta party tomorrow night too. I hope I can cook the pasta right. We're having Morgan, Antoine, and Katie over:) teeheehee!
I hope you guys are ok with me creating a Pelagia facebook group. I was thinking that it would be a good way to plan councils and maybe attract others. I was wondering if anyone had ideas for it.
I should go eventually, get ready to go to "Haroun and the Sea of Stories" tonight with Melodi. It should be interesting.

[ mood | tired ]

I know I haven't updated in a while. I'm not going to write down everything that's been happening, it's too much. The long and short of it is I've been home for exactly a month now. I'm working at both Costco in Woodenville and the pro club. so normally I'm clocking in at least 40 hours a week and thus I don't have much time off.
I will still try to plan a few parties.

When does everyone get home...or is everyone already home?
I have no idea.

skunk season is officially open, fire at will [23 Apr 2006|12:12pm]
[ mood | happy ]

So, a short update to my life.
As of today I have 18 days until I get home
This past week wasn't bad. Melodi and I had a joint b-day dinner at P.F. Chang's it was loads of fun.
On Wednesday I talked to Anthony (my newest Frenchman) w/ MSN voice, and then after my first two classes I called Romi, and then Gildas. I miss them all so much right now! I was so happy for most of the rest of that day. Then we went to French club. Scott and Stacie came with me because both of them think Emmett (our VP) is really hot. Anyway, it ended up being just Scott, Stacie, Emmett, Jessica, and I at the meeting. We decided to go have dinner at Stacie's house, she wanted steaks. We invited Emmett (quite cleverly on Stacie's part) and Jessica to dinner. only Emmett could make it. Dinner was fantastic! We started to put on "From Hell" but no one but me was watching it so we put in "Love Actually" instead. Stacie and Emmett ended up going into her room to talk (and I'm assured it was just talking). And I was crying because of various bits in "Love Actually".
Thursday was fairly uneventful.
Friday however...
So Megan suggested we go to see the first "Mr. ASU" compitition. Stacie couldn't come because some bit of her wire shelving fell on her head, and she was upset. So it was just Megan, Melodi, and I. We ended up there early so we waited outside for a bit. When the time actually came there were some of the contestants walking past us. And, I'm told, one of them winked at me. He was kinda cute, very much a frat boy. He had a moehawk, but otherwise wasn't bad looking. Nice arms. The competition had 12 contestants. the first thing they had to do was give a pick up line. The best one by far was given by a guy named Lyall (his name reminded me of George of the Jungle), who was from South Africa. He was talking about how you should try to live on cloud nine, because when you fall it hurts. then he said "whatever asshole kicks you off of cloud nine, I will always be there to catch you" it was so cute! Then came the talent portion. The frat boy that winked at me attempted to play a curved didgery-doo(dunno how you spell it) while taking off his shirt, he wasn't successful. This guy named Tony read really good poetry that he had written. and the best talent was a guy named Ben, from Lithuania, who did a strip teast to "I touch myself"! wow, it was hot! Then the semi-finalists were named and they were asked a question. Tony was asked if there was a girl in the audience he wanted say something to, and he gave a really cute shout-out to his girlfriend. He won, by the way.
Yesterday, I didn't do much. I started cleaning my room. And I took down my bed from it's loft, with Megan's help. It looks so weird now! Then Stacie came and got us at around 11:30 or so. We came to her appartment, ordered pizza and put in the movie "Just Friends" which was pretty funny. Her friend Alex came over too. Megan and I spent the night, and that's where I am right now, on her floor.

Soo incredibly happy!!!!! [12 Apr 2006|11:29pm]
[ mood | bouncy ]

Thanks to all those who remembered my birthday! You all made me feel so loved! I love you all!
My life has been interesting recently. I've managed to get hooked on several penpal websites as well as getting several friends hooked aswell.
I've met some people via these sites. Most of them live in France, but one lives in Quebec. I talk to Anthony (one of the French guys) and Patrick (the Canadian from Quebec) the most. They're both nice guys it seems. And yes, I'm being really careful. I've seen lots of pics of both and I've heard Anthony's voice (MSN voice conversation). I haven't told them exactly where I live or anything either.

Anyway. I called Romi yesterday with SkypeOut! We spoke for about an hour and I'm supposed to call him again next week!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy about that right now!!! I really do like him!

Last night Stacie made me a cupcake b-day cake with Happy Birthday written in sour straws! Then we all got on a sugar high!
Today Melodi taped a bunch of notes outside my door that her and Megan had made. I went to French club and Scott and Stacie came with me. We all agreed that Emmett is hot! I thought that was funny. And tonight dad and Darla took me out for dinner to a French restaurant called "Sophie's Bistro" it was amazing! I got to speak a bit of French and the food was fab! So, I'm happy as a clam! I also got a new phone! as well as money, earings, a coin purse, a book, bubble bath, and The Chronicles of Narnia!
HOORRAYYYY!!!!!!!!
I love you all, and thanks again for remembering me!

[ mood | bouncy ]

It be Thursday y'all. I think I'm hyper.:D:D sugar and caffeine are fun! and so are really cute guys!
So I just had lunch at Chili's, I ate Steak which was awesome.
I guess I really don't have much to update about. French club was fun yesterday, but it was only Cathy and I for the first hour and a half or so. But it is near the end of the semester and people are tired, so it's all good.
For dinner last night Scott, Megan, Melodi, Stacie, and I went down to Manzy Sq. for "Pirate night" which was seafood themed. it was fun, we spent dinner checking out hot guys. I think we're going to see "V for Vendetta" on Friday, w/out Melodi because she's going to a play for class. Then Saturday we're going to Walmart and then to see "Ice Age 2"! I'm excited.
so, last night we all got hyped up on sugar and Melodi got dressed up in her wedding dress, and I got in my costume and we pranced around the hall and took pictures (well, one at least)!
here's a link to some new pictures:

What type of Fae are you?

I know it's been a while since I've updated. This week has gone by so quickly geeze. I guess I don't really have that much to talk about. God, I love my roomate, she is so funny. Her best friend has been here this week, so she's been sleeping in Allison's bed and Allison has been sleeping in Jeff and Steven's room this week. Last night she couldn't sleep there, so they brought in an extra mattress and slept on the floor in here. So we had 3 people sleeping in here. Allison was just jumping on the mattress.
I kind of want school to be over. I love it here, I am happy with the friends I've made, but I miss everyone at home and I'm sick of being in school.
So...last night I went to see "A Very Long Engagement" seeing as how French and German clubs are having a film festival this weekend and I volunteered to greet people for French club. I met this cool girl who lives on my floor, she's a total Francophile too! Then I met this guy named Todd who is taking German. I cried during the movie, of course. Todd laughed at me, and so did a lot of people, but not in a mean way. Then as the three of us were walking out, Stacie (the Francophile I met who lives on my floor) needed to go to the bathroom, so I waited for her since we were going to walk back together. Todd and I were talking then he said he needed to go and gave me a hug. He looked down at me and I looked up at him and he was like "give me a kiss" and he kissed me.
I really don't understand! I wasn't flirting with him or anything, nor was I dressed sluttily. I mean, I'm not really creeped out, it was just weird. Megan and I think it was probably a rebound thing since he had just broken up with his girlfriend of 26months. I don't know, it was strange.
Anyway, so that's about it. Oh yeah, and Melodi's wedding has been called off because Franklin was being an asshole and not calling/emailing/writing for weeks at a time. There has been so much drama here it's not even funny.
Ttyl guys.

Men...men are weak [17 Mar 2006|08:20pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

I'd like to to thank you guys, Jenn, Sonja, and Mel for commenting on my last post. It makes me feel better to know that the fellowship isn't completely broken. I'm glad to have you guys as friends. So... thank you for that:D
I'm watching Fellowship of the Ring, Extended Edition, and I'm thinking of all the good times our group had watching all of these Lord of the Rings films.
I think I've been feeling the way I have because it is somewhat harder to keep in touch with friends at home, and I seem to have made and lost a few friends this year. They, unsurprisingly, are guys (i.e. Mark and Brendan). I'm not sure whether I scared them off or what, but it's just irritating to hear "yeah, I'll call you" or "I'll send you an email" and they never do! I don't know... I'm just missing the old days, I guess.

In other news, I'm still happy from Tuesday and my lovely call to Romi. I've come to realize that I'm not going to get over him anytime soon. Nor am I sure I want to, he seems a good guy to like, though I think nothing but friendship will ever come from our relationship (at least at this distance). But he is a good friend, and eyecandy.

So Sonja sugested to me over Facebook, that we get someone's video camera and tape ourselves doing Monty Python esq scenes this summer! I think it's an excellent idea. What does everyone else think?
We'll start planning Vancouver when we all get home this summer...when we all know who can come and what not.
I think that's it of late.

(3 spoons | poke a badger)

sometimes being female sucks [16 Mar 2006|12:10am]
[ mood | mixed ]

Right now, I am both happy and sad.
Happy first:
Yesterday I finaly got up the courage to call Romi via Skype! We talked for like 45 minutes!!! It was great, I couldn't stop grinning. And he thanked me 3 for calling him or so times during the conversation!!!! He still makes me smile :D. Today we went to Arizona Mills and walked around there. Megan's friend Scott met us there. He's such a cool guy! He's fun to be around. Then we saw the Libertine with Johnny Depp, it was a well done film, but not a feel good film... it was...interesting. Well done, well acted, just depressing at the end and made you think. Scott couldn't sit still throughout the film, it was funny, he's worse than Melodi. We decided to go bowling, but had to go back to the dorms first to get Melodi's ball. Then we walked around Scottsdale for a bit and then bowled 3 games, I bowled 104 on my last game. :D And we sat around scopeing out the hot guys in the room (Scott was scopeing too, except he liked this guy with big ears who he thought he knew).
Other happy stuff: Saturday Melodi and I went to the Renaissance faire here. Sadly it was raining, so it opened at 10 and closed at noon because of rain and by the time we left we were soaked and freezing. But... I got a costume!!!!! It's got a hoop skirt and everything!!!! And y'all know I've been lusting after one for a long time! Pictures will come later.

Now the not so happy:
Sometimes I feel as if some people just don't care to make any effort in friendships anymore. I know things are changing now that we're in college, and that they're supposed to, but it still makes me sad. There are still many days when I miss the high school group and feel like "the fellowship has broken". I know it's not necessarily true, but still...
I don't know anymore. Anyway, that's it for now, ttyl everyone

on relationships [04 Mar 2006|11:01pm]
[ mood | frustrated ]

Wow, I think there are only two people I can think of right now who are entirely happy with there relationships, and (correct me if I'm wrong here) that would be Mel and Jules.
I just got back from Melodi and Laura's room. Where Melodi just talked to Franklin, resulting in yet another fight due to his lack of communication skills (as in not calling, no mail, no email, no messeging...) so she's contemplating her relationship, and this has been happening off and on for the roughly 4 months he's been gone too! Then Laura's been having an argument with her boyfriend! And there are others too!!!
This must just be the bad month for relationships or something! I don't know! It annoys me and I'm wondering how the human race has survived this bloody long! I now know why the dinosaurs lasted as long as they did... there brains weren't big enough to fecking have a fecking relationship!!!!
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

ok, I think I'm done bitching for now. It's been a long week. I'm tired and can't remember much of anything right now, so I'm not going to say anything more about my week.

morning boredum [27 Feb 2006|07:59am]
[ mood | tired ]

I'm really tired, and I have 20 minutes before I leave for class. I was up until midnight last night (I know that doesn't sound late, but I was really tired) I was going to go to bed earlier, but I had to stay up and sign myself back on the internet... smart enforcer bitch!
This weekend was kinda fun. The most fun I had was at the Mardi Gras party on Saturday night! June gave me a ride there and back, which was really nice of her. I talked with Jessica, and Emmett, and Sylvain, and June, and Coco, and a bunch of other people! That was much fun. Other than that it's been fairly laid back.
OOOOHHHH And I get to go to a Renaissance festival on March 11th!!!!!
I managed to talk to Mark some yesterday...I guess he's been really busy and he has a family crisis so he's going back home on Thurs.
Thursday was awesome, because I got to see my neices Morgan and Brooke. They're so cute. I spent most of the day carrying Brooke around, so I was sore afterwards from it. When I got back to my dorm I had coffee with Brendan, we were there for around an hour before they told us to go because they were closing. There had been a latin/jazz band out when I arrived at the Starbucks, so I stayed outside to listen to them and Brendan showed up later.
Now I think I'm going to pack up my stuff for class...

Wednesday [22 Feb 2006|11:36pm]
[ mood | content ]

So...
Happy Brace-free driving, Flogging Molly, I'm sorry, Suicide, Mexican restaurant, mango, constipated tupperware cookie, something or other, ahoy there, skin, Christmas, soccer, Sean Biggerstaff, Dr, Dr, two, Dr, Caley, Caley, Caley, Legolas is sexy, tube, melt Wednesday!!!!
woohooo! I remembered most of it. I'm pretty sure there is a "penguin" somewhere in there, but I don't remember exactly where. If someone remembers, please inform me immediatly!
Today has gone really well. I had classes as usual. Then French club was awesome (bien sur!) I got told by Sylvain (who is French) and another person who's name I don't know that I speak really well, especially for my level! And Sylvain told me I look like a Parisian! HOORAY!!!!
I talked with Brendan both before and after French club. Then we agreed to meet for coffee at Starbucks later, and we did. We talked for a while, but he had to go after a bit because he was going dancing (swing dancing). He invited me along, but I needed to finish my French composition and some other homework... but I really do want to go! I have always wanted to learn! Gildas tried to teach me a bit in the Alps and that was so much fun!!! Brendan seems to be a really nice guy. And he's smart and cultured (unlike an idiot I know). I saw Mark in the lobby of my building and shouted at him that he hasn't called me yet, like he told me he was going to. Men suck with communication. Though I'm so glad to have recieved a letter from Romi!!!! Finally!
Alright, I'm going to bed now. I'm tired and my family and I are going to Surprise, AZ tomorrow (yup that's really the name of the city) to see my step-sister Nicole and my nieces Morgan and Brooke! My class for tomorrow got cancled which is why I'm going.

grrrrr argh!!!!!!!! [21 Feb 2006|05:26pm]
[ mood | annoyed ]

Sometimes I really hate humanity. So, the last few days when I've been walking around campus they have these huge removable bill boards out with people around them. The billboards have grotesque pictures of dead featus' and it's all about stopping abortion (calling abortion genocide, and only stating it as a used method of getting rid of unplanned pregnancy).... now I have no problem with people stating their opinions, and the like (if they present good, valid, intelligent arguments) but this is just stupid and sick! it's like that internet hoax that was up a few years back about people putting kittens in jars (which turned out not to be true!!!) sometimes it makes me think that some people just suck in general.

Anyway; other than that my life has been ok. My dad, Darla, Chris, and his friend Brian are down here for the week. which is good. I've been able to spend a lot of time with them, and have home cooked meals! I've also been drinking some wine. I had a very good glass of a Cabernet on Saturday night followed by a sip of a different one, and I swear it tasted like Smoked Bacon and my family agrees! Then Sunday I had a lovely Sautern from Burgandy. It was a pre-dinner white wine. so it was very sweet, and had a pear flavor. It was fun... oh and I'm a member of Costco now! woot!

I'll probably post sometime tomorrow after French club to let everyone know how that goes!

I reject your reality, and substitute it with my own! [16 Feb 2006|12:04pm]
[ mood | peaceful ]

the week is almost done. My dad, Darla, my little bro, and his best friend are coming on Saturday. I'm excited, it'll be nice to see them.
So, I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. I had fun. I was awoken at 3:30am to talk to Gildas, that made me happy. It's been so long since I've gotten to talk to him. He's a real sweet guy. Then I got flowers from my dad, and from Melodi. Then that night we ordered cheesebread and bread sticks and ate chocolate while watching Chocolat. I mean, Johnny Depp and chocolate! What could be better! I also heard from Mark that evening. Turns out he hasn't been ignoring me, he's just been super busy. Apparently he got sunburnt while climbing and he thinks he now looks sexy because he's not white anymore *rolls eyes*.
My friend Megan and I also had lab that day. on the way there we decided that it's warm enough for the skanks to come out of hybrination. So then I mentioned that bears hybrinate too... so skanks = bears. This produced an amusing mental immage of a skank gnawing on the top of someone's head. So, we laughed about that until lab. Then, I thought that skanks are rodents because skank kinda sounds like skunk. so skank = skunk. To some the whole thing up: skank = bear & skank = skunk, therefor bear = skunk! *giggles* I guess it was one of those "you had to be there" scenerios.
Wednesday was cool too. Apart from having a French test in the subjunctive tense. In my Greece class we're starting to talk about Greek and Spartan sexuallity! And most people know that the Greeks had homosexual as well as heterosexual relationships, and it wasn't taboo really, at least not in the way we think of it in our society. Sparta was particularly different because the men spent so much time together (in training) away from the women it's very natural to assume that they might develope more "close ties" so to speak with the rest of the troop. The same goes for Spartan women who rarely saw men. But on the other hand, Greeks in general could have homosexual relationships and then be heterosexually married and have children too. It's kinda funny watching the guys squirm when we get into the Spartan training that all guys went through and the bonds they formed because of it, but also makes me irritated at the same time because they're thinking about the situation with a purely modern view, saying that they'd be grossed out by it if they lived then. Truth be told, to the Greeks it wasn't gross or unnatural or anything of the sort. Ok, I'm done with my mini-rant.
The rest of Wednesday went very well indeed. I went to French club and had an absolute blast there. We played the game where you get a person's name on your back and you have to guess who you are by yes or no questions (only it was in French). Emmett was Napoleon the second round and guessed it after one question "am I a man?" :D I thought that was funny, because he's a total Napoleon fanatic. Then Barbara, Sylvain, Jack, Brendan, and I were having this discussion about France-French as opposed to Quebecois-French and how that compairs to English in varied countries. Then we talked about accents as well. And I made a new friend. His name is Brendan, and he's 19, but a junior this semester (advanced courses in highschool). He's only in French 102, but we had fun speaking in French. After I returned to the dorm, Laura, Melodi, and I decided we were going to go to Sweet Tomato's for dinner, but first we were going to check mail and get starbucks. And at Starbucks, I ran into Brendan again so we all talked for a bit. I invited him to dinner with Megan, Laura, Melodi, and I. It was fun! I hope we didn't scare him off, seeing as how we spent most of the car ride and dinner laughing our heads off. I also got a large package of misshapen jelly belly jelly beans from my uncle!:D
Today's been ok so far. Anyway I hope all of you are doing really well!

So, I know it's been a week since last I updated. I've been busy. Thursday I went to a club for sci-fi, fantasy, and anime fans but I'm not exactly sure if I should be in said club or not because I'm now more of a casual fan of sci-fi and fantasy since it seems to have taken a back seat to my France, French, and History obsessions. And I've never been a fan of anime (I don't hate it, but the only anime I've read has been Ranma 1/2). Not to mention I have a lot on my plate right now, so I'm not sure if I should go back to the club. They have their meetings then go off campus to dinner then to someone's house and people don't start returning to campus until late and I have an early morning class the next morning and I'd feel guilty about just going to the meeting and not going to anything else. So, I don't know whether I should go back or not....
Friday Megan, Melodi, and I went to dinner at this really cute upscale restaurant within walking distance. It was amazing! We had fruit, cheese, and bread to start and then caesar salads for dinner. Then we went to go see Brokeback Mountain. That was a good movie. But very depressing. I cried, a lot! And as we were leaving I checked my voicemail and guess who had called... the idiot! I was surprised since I hadn't heard from him since before I returned to AZ. And I was supposed to hang with one of my friends from my Rome class. I called my friend Brian and told him where I was. Then we walked back to the dorms laughing while talking in southern cowboy accents to keep from crying. I called the idiot back when we got up to the room, in a southern accent. He wanted to see me and he said he was downstairs. I ended up going down there because I didn't want to be a bitch, though once I was down there talking to him I was a bitch to him anyways because I wasn't in the mood to deal with his shit. He's done more stupid shit since last I spoke with him.... and he called me today as I was on the way to class because he was on Mill Ave. (college street near where I live). I'm starting to get a bit creeped out!
Anyway, so I got some new shoes... They're really cute but kinda uncomfortable. My feet have loads of blisters.
Today I went back to French Club! It was fantastique again! We played Pictionary in French and English (mostly French). It's more difficult in French! Especially since the other people playing were way beyond my vocabulary level. Oh well, it was fun anyway! I love French Club so much! Seeing how it's one of my main obsessions right now! On a slightly more melancholy note, one of the characters in the story I'm supposed to be reading for French class reminds me of Romi. I'm still annoyed with him! If I go back to France this summer (not sure about that yet) so... if I go back I'll seriously kick his ass for not contacting me! Gildas has been really good about it, that makes me happy. At least one of my French friends still cares about me!

Your responses indicate that you are 56% Innately Evil and 50% Machiavellian!
The trouble with Scotland is that it's full of Scots. America, France... heck, they all have the same problem. You simply don't have the time to be irked by sniveling meddlers, to be waylaid by insurrectionists, or to wait for your son to choose a bride. You have a kingdom to run and war to wage. There are greater things at stake than personal freedom or liberty. You are definitely a thinker and a doer, but these two admirable traits don't really find balance in you. Perhaps you should slow down, just a little bit, to make sure that nothing is squeezing out between the fingers of your iron fist.

For your partner in crime: set your sights on Magneto or Cancer Man.

Always avoid: the extremists, like HAL9000 and Grendel.

My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

Vancouver [29 Jan 2006|10:16pm]
[ mood | creative ]

Ok, so here's my plan so far for a Vancouver trip this summer.

We'd leave sometime of the day on August 11th, which is a Friday. Overnight Friday night, spend Saturday in the city....
and then there are a few directions it could take: 1) we go home Saturday night
2) we overnight Saturday and go home sometime Sunday
3) those who need to can go home Saturday afternoon/night and the rest can overnight Saturday night (this would probably work best if we do carpool).

That brings me to the next question: whether to take the train or whether to carpool...

So here's what I need from those of you who are planning on going (this is starting to sound like a school assignment):
1) I need a list from each of you with whether you think we should do train or carpool and your reasons why. I will then try to do a pros/cons post and we can do a vote
2) which of the 3 above "directions" you guys think would be better

I will try to, in my spare time look for a cheep/cheepish place for us to stay in the city close to Robson Street (which is where the shopping and everything is). If anyone has any suggestions... please tell me. And think about how much you will be wanting to spend on this venture too.

I have 2 places that I'm demanding we go on Robson Street. The first is a Crepe Shop that has absolutely amazing crepes (and you can order in French or English). The second is Hon's which is a Chinese restaurant that is fantastic and not very expensive.
Other places I suggest are Lush (a wonderful/fun bath shop), and The Cactus Club (bar/restaurant that, according to my brother Tom who used to be a bartender, serves really good drinks)
Anyway, I just thought I'd get all of that out there. The sooner we get this planned the better. Like I said, I'm open to suggestions and/or comments!

wahhhh [26 Jan 2006|02:54pm]
[ mood | cheerful ]

So, I only had one class today :D I'm happy about that. I got to work out too! My monday, wed, fri, are the best because I have all of my good classes those days!
Other than that, not much has been happening.
OOOOOOOOOOOOO I GOT FIREFLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're going to watch them soon too!

So, Some of us (Lauren, Sonja, and myself) were thinking of doing a roadtrip somewhere around the 11th of August up to Vancouver. It would probably be a weekend, we'd go up Friday/Saturday and come back Sunday. It can't be much later than the 11th because some of us (Sonja, Mel, and I) have to go back to school in mid-August. For me, I go back the 21st, but my dad wants me to drive back down here, so I'll have to leave a few days early. So, I think it would be a good idea to start planning early so we can all make sure we can go!

um... hmmmm... I don't think I really have much else to say, just thought I'd update as it's been a while.
